This treatment uses a small amount of electricity to produce a carefully controlled seizure in the brain. Because of this, you will need to learn how to drain the urine from your bladder to keep it from getting too full. We call this ‘Self-Catheterization’. The reason we want you to drain urine from your bladder regularly is to keep your kidneys and bladder healthy. It also decreases the chance of you getting a bladder or kidney infection.
