What is pneumonia? (Child) [English] Permalink Public
Pneumonia is an infection in the lungs. It may also be called lower respiratory tract infection because it occurs deep in the lungs. Most cases of pneumonia are caused by viruses. A smaller number of pneumonia cases are caused by bacteria. Often, pneumonia follows a cold. Audio available. (English)
