My Child and I have a Right to Breastfeed [English] Permalink Public
British Columbia has the BC Human Rights Code to protect and promote human rights. The right to breastfeed in public is protected under this law. If a parent is told they cannot breastfeed in public, this means that they can file a complaint with the BC Human Rights Tribunal and request compensation for any harms. These cards are based on the information contained in this BC Government fact sheet on sex discrimination. (English) Colour
