This pamphlet is meant to help you understand cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). ‘Cardio’ means heart. ‘Pulmonary’ means lungs. ‘Resuscitation’ means to try and restart a person’s heart beat and breathing when they stop (often called ‘CPR’).
